How can I take the best care of my beaded earrings?
All pieces are "wearable art" and should be treated with love and care. Please keep them away from water or moisture and don't wear during any particularly strenuous activity. Fringed work should be hung or laid out flat, as the thread retains its shape! If the fringe curls at all, you can easily remedy that by gently "massaging" and pulling down the thread. Certain bead colors may fade over time (e.g. galvanized glass beads will begin to have a rust-like appearance that is still beautiful in a new way!), but most should retain their original good looks :) Bottom line, these are handmade pieces created with glass beads and while they are sturdier than they seem, they are still precious and you should always wear them mindfully.
What materials do you use?
Most seed bead jewelry is woven with Miyuki Delica seed beads (11/0) and the occasional bugle or drop bead! Glow-in-the-dark pieces are woven with Toho seed beads. I'm a sensitive ear girl myself, so I finish every piece with sterling silver ear wires and also include rubber earnuts for extra protection.
How do you package your orders?
Orders are presented like gifts (because they are gifts for you!), but I am still experimenting with the cutest, safest, and most eco-friendly way to package my parcels, so you might have to stick with me while I use up my existing materials and try out new methods <3
SHIPPING & RETURNS
What should I expect for shipping?
I am a tiny business (just me!), so Ready-to-Ship items will be processed in 1-5 days. Made-to-Order items can be expected to ship 1-3 weeks after ordering unless otherwise noted. I use First-Class USPS for everything. Domestic shipping is FREE, and orders will usually arrive within the week after shipment. International orders are trickier to predict, but will generally arrive within the month. Please remember that I have no control over a package once it is in the postal system! I will provide you with a tracking number and do what I can to alleviate stress with delays.
What happens if my package is lost in transit or stolen?
Aah, that is simply the worst. At this point, I am not able to offer refunds for missing items, but please contact me and we can talk about options for replacement. Make sure you are providing a secure, USPS-verified address at checkout.
My beads broke in the mail :(
Broken beads break hearts! If your piece arrives damaged, please contact me within 3 days of delivery and we can work out a replacement plan. I have never had a piece "injured" in travel and I take great care to provide adequate protection, but of course **** happens!
Do you issue refunds/accept returns?
I cannot issue refunds or accept returns at this time, so please read my product descriptions carefully and feel free to reach out with any questions! If you are deeply unhappy with your piece or if I've made a mistake in your order, send me a message and I will see what I can do to make it right.
Do you ever do custom work?
I am occasionally open to custom projects! It just depends on my current schedule and the work in mind, but definitely send me a message describing your dreams and I'll see if it is something I am up to! If not, I'd be happy to point you in the direction of another artist who might be able to help you realize your vision.
